approving any such monthly report of said town Treasurer
and shall be entered in the minute books of said Council and
the adoption by said Council by a resolution approving any
such monthly report of said town Treasurer shall be con-
sidered a certificate to the citizens of the Town of Morning-
side, of such Council so voting on approval of such monthly
report, to be complete and accurate. Provided, however, that
nothing contained in this Act shall in any wise affect the
liability to said town of said town Treasurer; and provided,
further, that nothing contained in this Act shall in any wise
affect the liability of the surety or sureties on the bonds of
said town Treasurer; and provided, further, that nothing
contained in this Act shall in any wise affect the liability
of the surety or sureties on the bonds of said town Treas-
urer.

(G) That in the event that said Council, after careful
examination, shall adopt a resolution disapproving any such
monthly report of said town Treasurer, said Council shall
within five days (including Sundays and holidays) notify
said town Treasurer of the fact of the adoption of such reso-
lution disapproving such monthly report, and of the reason
or reasons for such disapproval, and call upon said town
Treasurer to make another and accurate report or satis-
factorily explain to said Council, such part or parts of such
report as shall have been disapproved by said Council. Such
notice may be served upon said town Treasurer, either per-
sonally by any of said Councilmen, or by posting a copy of
the same at the last regular meeting place of said Council,
or by mailing a copy of same to the last residence or busi-
ness address given by said town Treasurer to said Council.

(H) That it shall be the duty of said town Treasurer,
within five days (including Sundays and legal holidays)
after being served with the notice referred to in Paragraph
G, to make to said Council another and accurate monthly
report or satisfactorily explain to said Council such part or
parts of such report as shall have been disapproved by said
Council. Such explanation shall be in writing and signed
and sworn to by said town Treasurer. If such town Treas-
urer shall make such new report or explanation, the Council
shall approve or disapprove of the same in the same manner
as is provided for in Paragraphs F and G of this section.

(I) That if said Treasurer of Morningside shall fail or
neglect to make such regular monthly reports, or shall fail
or neglect, upon the disapproval by said Council of any such
report, to make another and accurate report or shall other-
