SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 790 of the Code of Montgomery County
(1947 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Montgomery County Suburban District", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
790. (a) One-fourth of the share of the State Income Tax
received by the County Council of Montgomery County pur-
suant to Section 258 of Article 81, on account of taxpayers
who reside in the County but are outside of any incorporated
city, town, village or special taxing area treated as such,
shall be expended by the County Council in that portion of
the Potomac Election District and the Bethesda Election Dis-
trict lying within the confines of the Montgomery County
Suburban District, as the same was created by Chapter 459
of the Acts of 1931 and the amendments thereof (Sections
780-803 of this Article), exclusively for road, highway or
bridge construction, re-construction or maintenance.
(b) One-fourth of said sum so received shall be expended
by the County Council in that portion of the Wheaton Elec-
tion District and Colesville Election District lying within the
confines of the Montgomery County Suburban District, as
created by said Chapter 459 of the Acts of 1931 and the
amendments thereof, exclusively for road, highway or bridge
construction, re-construction or maintenance.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Supple-
ment), title "State Roads", said new section to be known
as Section 13A, to follow immediately after Section 13
thereof and to be under the sub-title "Distribution and Use
of Special Funds", relating to the distribution in Mont-
gomery County of the monies paid over to said county
from the Gasoline Tax Fund.
