sioners are hereby directed to require each of the said volun-
teer fire companies to file, annually, a fair statement of the
value of their respective fire fighting apparatus. Each of
the said volunteer fire companies shall also file with the
County Commissioners a statement of the number of fires to
which their respective companies were called during the pre-
vious year, the estimated value of the property in which the
fires occurred and the estimated loss to the same by reason
of any fire.
141B. The County Commissioners shall pay out of the
taxes collected in Cecil County, in each and every year,
to each of the said volunteer fire companies the sum of Twelve
Hundred Dollars ($1, 200. 00), at stated periods, during the
current year and each of the said volunteer companies is
hereby required to file at the end of the current year with
the County Commissioners a full and fair statement of how
the said sums of money so paid to each of them shall have
been expended, provided, however, that the said County Com-
missioners shall make no payment to any fire company or-
ganized after June 1, 1947, unless such company shall apply
to said County Commissioners and receive the approval of
said Commissioners for its organization.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal Section 43 to 111 A inclusive; Sections
113 and 114; Sections 115 to 128 inclusive; and Sections
129 to 134 inclusive of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen
Anne's County", sub-titles "Centreville", "Chesterfield
Cemetery", "Light Plant" and 'Sewers", and all additions
and amendments thereto, and to enact in lieu thereof 73
new sections to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Town of Centreville", to be known as
Sections 43 to 111 inclusive and Sections 113 to 117 in-
clusive revising the corporate Charter of the Town of
Centreville, providing for a form of government, the gen-
