a municipal primary election shall be looked upon as an
application for an Absentee Ballot to be voted at a gen-
eral municipal election, unless the applicant shall state in
his application that the ballot so applied for is to be used at
the next ensuing municipal primary election; and the Board
shall mail to such applicant an Absentee Ballot for the
next general municipal election.
239T. Whenever the condition which resulted in the
issuing by the Governor of the Proclamation on May 21,
1942, in accordance with Section 304 of Article 33 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), as it, or
any amendment or amendments, or additions thereto, or
changes therein, existed before its repeal by this or any
other sub-title, terminates, it shall be the duty of the
Governor, as soon as is convenient and proper, by Procla-
mation, published once in no more than three newspapers
in each county and in Baltimore City, to declare this Act
terminated, and such a Proclamation shall terminate this
Act as of the date of said Proclamation.
239U. Whenever the provisions of this sub-title are en-
forced at any election the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions of Baltimore City shall be entitled to receive, in
addition to the compensation now paid to it, the further
sum of $200 each for every such election. The Board of
Supervisors of Elections of Baltimore City shall be allowed
such further sum for expenses and clerical hire in the
performance of the duties imposed upon it by this sub-
title, as may be reasonable and necessary. All said ex-
penses shall be paid by the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore in precisely the same way as compensation and
similar election expenses are now provided to be paid by
law.
239V. Any person who shall wilfully sign any false
application or oath, any any person who shall wilfully do
any act contrary to the terms and provisions of this sub-
title with intent to cast an illegal vote or to aid another in
so doing, and any person who shall in any way wilfully
violate any of the provisions of this sub-title, and any
person who shall fail or refuse to perform any duty im-
posed upon him by the provisions of this sub-title, and any
person who shall apply for a ballot under any other name
than his own, shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced
to pay a fine of not more than $1, 000 or be sentenced to
the penitentiary for not more than two years, or be sen-
tenced to both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of
the Court. In all other respects the penalties provided in
