1950, 1951, 1952, and 1953, which sums of money shall
be expended and used exclusively for the following pur-
poses: (1) One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($150, 000, ), together with any other unexpended funds
heretofore levied, appropriated or acquired for public
school buildings for the acquisition of a site and for the
erection of a new high school building at Oakland, the
aggregate amount of which is not to exceed the sum
of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200, 000. ); (2)
not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. ) for
the acquisition of a site and for the erection of an addition
to the Friendsville Public Schools; (3) not to exceed
Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. ) for the acquisition of
a site and for the erection of an addition to the Kitzmiller
Public Schools; (4) not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($15, 000. ) for the acquisition of a site and for the erection
of an addition to the Grantsville Public Schools; (5) not to
exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10, 000. ) for the acquisi-
tion of a site and for the erection of an addition to the
Accident. Public Schools; and (6) not to exceed Nine
Thousand Dollars ($9, 000. ) for the acquisition of a site
and the erection of an addition to the Bloomington Public
Schools; and (7) not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars
($2, 000. ) for repairs and installation of a sanitary system
at Swanton Public School.
The above limitations as to the amount which may be
expended for the acquisition of a site and erection of school
buildings or addition at any particular location shall only
apply to county funds. Any funds which may be made
available from the United States or any agency thereof or
from any other source may be expended for any or 'all of
the above school buildings in addition to the amounts
levied by the county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That a Special Com-
mittee, consisting of the members of the Board of Educa-
tion, the County Superintendent of Schools and the County
Commissioners of Garrett County, shall have authority to
acquire site or sites needed for any or all of said school
buildings and additions. The aforesaid Special Committee
shall appoint a separate Building Committee, from a list
of names recommended and submitted by the Parent-
Teacher Association in each of their respective communi-
ties, of not more than five members. The said Building
Committee and the Board of Education shall have plans
prepared for the erection of said school buildings or addi-
tions subject to the approval of the State Superintendent
of Schools, as provided by Section 30 of Article 77 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition). The Special
