CHAPTER 787.
(Senate Bill 335)

AN ACT to add ten new sections to Article 24 of Flack's
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Worcester County, " sub-title "Ocean City, " to fol-
low immediately after Section 157 and to be num-
bered 157 (a), 157 (b), 157(c), 157 (d), 157(e), 157 (f;,
157(g), 157(h), 157(i) and 157(j), to authorize and em-
power Mayor and City Council of Ocean City, under the
police power of the State of Maryland, and for the pur-
pose of promoting the health, security, morals and general
welfare of the town of Ocean City and the inhabitants
thereof and visitors therein, to provide for the estab-
lishment by the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City
of districts or zones in said town within which may be
regulated and restricted by ordinance the height, num-
ber of stories, size of buildings and other structures,
the percentages of lot that may be occupied, the size
of yards, courts and other open spaces, the density of
population, the location and use of buildings, structures
and land for trade, industry, residence or other pur-
poses; to provide for a commission which shall recom-
mend the boundaries of the various districts and appro-
priate regulations to be enforced therein; to provide for
amendment, supplement, change or repeal; to provide a
Board of Zoning Appeals with power to make special
exceptions to the terms of the ordinance; to provide
remedies for violation; to provide for conflict with other
existing laws or ordinances; and to provide for the
administration of such ordinances as may be passed
under the provisions of this Act and authorizing the
Mayor and City Council of Ocean City to regulate by
ordinance amusements, entertainments or games within
the municipality on Sunday and making Sections 560,
571 and 576 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition) inapplicable to Ocean City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That nine new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 24 of Flack's Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, " sub-title
"Ocean City, " to follow immediately after Section 157, to
be numbered 157(a), 157(b), 157(c), 157(d), 157(e),
157 (f), 157 (g), 157 (h), 157 (i) and 157 (j), and to read as
follows:

157 (a) For the purpose of promoting the health,
