SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 93 of Chapter 96 of the Acts of 1922, shall be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
SECTION 93. Any such report of said certified public
accountant as is mentioned in the Section of this Act shall
be taken as prima facie correct in any suit or settlement
between said City and any of the officers herein mentioned.
The said certified public accountant shall be paid out of
the City Treasury for his services herein prescribed
a sum not to exceed the sum of Fifteen Hun-
dred ($1500. 00) Dollars. The Mayor shall have
full power to regulate the duties of said certified public
accountant; and before he shall be entitled to payment for
said services, said account of said certified public account-
ant shall be presented to the City Council, and if found
to be correct, shall be ordered paid out of the money in
the City Treasury.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
101 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-
title "Trial Magistrates System", relating to the number
and compensation of constables in Allegany County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As sembly of Maryland,
That Section 101 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace",
sub-title "Trial Magistrates System", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
