as the agent of the Department, the said Treasurers shall col-
lect the taxes in the same manner as hereinbefore required of
the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Department of Motor Vehicles shall be entitled to re-
tain one and one-half per cent (1 1/2%) of all the taxes collected
by it to pay the expenses involved in collecting and handling
said taxes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and parts
of Acts and especially any section or provision of Article 66^
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
take effect June 1st, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal sub-section F of Section 1109 of the
Montgomery County Code (1939 Edition), title "Mont-
gomery County", sub-title "Takoma Park", as said sec-
tion was amended by Chapter 505 of the Acts of 1941,
and to repeal sub-section F of Section 1304 of the Prince
George's County Code (1943 Edition), title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "Takoma Park", and to re-
peal Section 1105 of the Montgomery County Code (1939
Edition), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Takoma
Park", and to repeal Section 1298 of the Prince George's
County Code, title "Prince George's County", sub-title
"Takoma Park", and to enact in lieu thereof a new Sec-
tion 1105 of said Montgomery County Code and a new
Section 1298 of said Prince George's County Code, relat-
ing to the appointment, duties and retirement of certain
employees of the Town of Takoma Park, and reducing
the discounts for prepayment of taxes and providing for
submission of this Act to the voters of the Town of
Takoma Park.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As sembly of Maryland,
