HERBERT R. O'CONOR, GOVERNOR. 823

Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments, " sub-title "Rivers, " said new section to follow
Section 555 of said Article, and to be known as Section
555A, and to read as follows:

555A. Any person, partnership or corporation who
shall interfere with the use of a public landing, or do any-
thing to destroy its usefulness to the public, or who shall
destroy or damage any wharf or other structure erected
on said wharf, either by the State or by the County Com-
missioners of the County in which said public landing is
located, or by an individual, firm or corporation, who erects
such wharf or structures under a written agreement with
any State authority or any Board of County Commis-
sioners, for the benefit of the public, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be subject
to a fine of not less than $25. 00.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 740.

(Senate Bill 606)

AN ACT to extend the life of the Maryland Roadside
Council and to add to its mandatory membership a
representative of the Farm Bureau and a representative
of the Grange.

SECTION 1. Belt-enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Maryland Roadside Council, as established and
constituted by Chapter 1000 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1943, be and it is hereby con-
tinued until June 1, 1947, with the powers, duties and
privileges as prescribed in said Chapter 1000, including
those set forth and provided in Sections 4, 5, and 6 of said
Chapter 1000, provided, however, that a representative of
the Farm Bureau and a representative of the Grange shall
be included in the membership of the Council, in addition
to the representation set forth in Section 1 of said Chapter
1000. All members of the Council, as hereby continued,
shall be appointed by the Governor to serve for two years
from June 1, 1945.
