SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed upon by yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
73 and 75 of Article '99 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1943 Supp. ), title "Birds, Game and Inland Water
Fish, " sub-title "State Game Refuges and Hunting
Grounds. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 73 and 75 of Article 99 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1943 Supp. ), title "Birds, Game and
Inland Water Fish, " sub-title "State Game Refuges and
Hunting Grounds, " be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
73. (Acquisition. ) The Game Warden with the ap-
proval of the Commission may acquire title to or control
of lands or waters within this State suitable for protection
and propagation of game and fish or for hunting purposes
to be used as hereinafter provided by purchase, lease, gift,
or condemnation in accordance with the provisions
of Article 33A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
to be known as State Game Lands. The Game Warden
may purchase or erect such buildings as may be deemed
necessary properly to maintain and protect such lands or
for propagation of game and fish and may also purchase
or lease lands from which the ownership of minerals, oil,
or gas and the right to mine and drill for the same have
been excepted.
75. (Title and Control. ) The title to any land or
water acquired by purchase, gift, or condemnation
shall be taken in the name of the State of Maryland
for use of the Game and Inland Fish Commission of Mary-
