party, provided such appeal is entered within twenty days after
the judgment of the Circuit Court is rendered.
397C. Any person, firm or corporation violating any ordi-
nance promulgated under the authority of Section 397B shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall
be punished by a fine of not more than Fifty Dollars ($50. 00)
for each offense. In addition, the County Commissioners of
Wicomico County, upon proof of any violation of any ordi-
nance promulgated under Section 397B, shall have authority
to revoke or suspend any license issued under the authority of
Section 397B after affording reasonable opportunity to the
licensee to be heard in his, her or its defense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision,
clause, sentence, phrase, or part of this Act, or the application
thereof to any person, firm or corporation or circumstance, is
held invalid, the remainder of this Act and the application of
such provisions to other persons, firms and corporations and
circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

(House Bill 461)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 152A to 152H, inclusive, of Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Assessments",
providing for a Department of Assessment for Anne Arundel
County, its staff, their compensation, duties, allowances for
expenses, as said sections were enacted by Chapter 185 of
the Acts of 1939 and amended by Chapter 377 of the Acts of
1943; and to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Assessments", said new section
to be known as Section 152A, to follow immediately after
Section 152 of said Article, providing for an annual levy by
the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County for
transportation and other expenses of the Supervisor of
Assessments and County Assessors in performing their
duties, it being the intent of this section that neither the
