CHAPTER 669.
(House Bill 450)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 464
of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore
City", sub-title "Orphans' Court", increasing the compensa-
tion of the bailiffs of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 464 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition),
title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
464. The Bailiffs of the said Orphans' Court of Baltimore
City shall receive a salary of Two Thousand Eight Hundred
and Seventy-Five Dollars ($2, 875) per annum, payable in
monthly instalments at the end of each and every month by
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 670.
(House Bill 452)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
13 of Article 44 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Hospitals — Maryland", sub-title
"Springfield State Hospital", providing that the police-
men commissioned for the Springfield State Hospital shall
be included in the Merit System.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 13 of Article 44 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Hospitals—Mary-
land", sub-title "Springfield State Hospital", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
