11. Every bailiff attending the circuit courts in the counties
in this State shall be entitled to the sum of two dollars and fifty
cents for each day he shall attend the said courts, except in
Caroline County, where he shall be entitled to four dollars for
each day he shall attend the said court; and upon the certifi-
cate of the clerks of said courts stating the number of days that
the said bailiffs have attended the said courts the county com-
missioners of the several counties shall levy for the use of said
bailiffs the amounts that may be due them, provided, however,
in Queen Anne's, Frederick, Kent, Talbot, and Montgomery
Counties ever such bailiff shall receive compensation of four
dollars ($4. 00) per day. The provisions of this section shall
not apply to Baltimore County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.

CHAPTER 647.
(House Bill 244)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
220 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"Crier", increasing the compensation of the Circuit Court
Crier for Queen Anne's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 220 of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Crier", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
220. The Crier of the Circuit Court for said county shall
be entitled to five dollars a day for each day he shall attend
the sittings of said court, in lieu of all fees; and the Crier
of the Orphans' Court, one dollar and fifty cents for each day.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.
