(Senate Bill 178)
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Council
of Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, to purchase from
the Easton Fire Department, Inc., certain fire fighting
equipment, and to pay therefor from the general fund
of said Mayor and Council of Easton.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That The Mayor and Council of Easton, Talbot County,
Maryland, be and it is hereby authorized and empowered
to purchase from The Easton Fire Department, Inc., cer-
tain fire fighting equipment, to wit: One Seagrave Model
"J" 100' Six Wheel Tractor-drawn Aeriel Ladder Truck
with double bank ladder, and to pay therefor a sum of not
exceeding Twenty-one thousand ($21, 000. 00) Dollars, said
payment to be made from the General Fund of said The
Mayor and Council of Easton, Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
