to comply with the terms of sale the said Mayor and City
Council, in its discretion, is satisfied. In the event the bonds
be sold, the proceeds thereof shall be placed in a separate
fund and shall be used for the sole purpose of constructing
, additions and alterations to the Nurses' Home of the Memo-
rial Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That any and all Acts or
parts of Acts or any part or parts of the Charter of the City of
Cumberland, Maryland, conflicting in any way herewith is or
are repealed insofar and to the extent that the same shall
so conflict, and none of the limitations or restrictions on the
power of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland to bor-
row money, or issue and sell bonds contained in the Charter
of said municipality or in any other law which limits, restricts
or in any other way affects the powers herein granted, nor
any of the provisions of Chapter 630 of the Acts of 1939 or
any amendment thereto of the General Assembly of Maryland
shall be applicable hereto.
SEC. 5. And J)e it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect upon the first day of June, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
196 of Article 77 of the Annotated Cade of Maryland (1943
Supplement)/ title "Public Education", sub-title "Source
and Distribution of Income. "
SECTION'1. 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 196 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Public Education", sub-
title "Source and Distribution of Income", be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to
read as follows:
196. All money appropriated, subsequent to the enactment
of this section, by the General Assembly of the State of Mary-
land and the receipts from any State public school tax levied
1939 Edition evidently intended.
