by the Governor or otherwise became law, as entered in the
"Record of Chapter Numbers", and shall enter in said volume
opposite each Chapter number or otherwise in immediate con-
nection therewith, the number of the Senate or House Bill, as
the case may be, a brief summary of the subject matter thereof,
the date of presentation to the Governor, and the date of his
approval, or the date on which it otherwise became law. The
Secretary of State shall also enter in the "Record of Chapter
Numbers", immediately following the Chapter numbers of Bills
which became law, all Bills delivered to him by the Governor
which failed to become law, and shall indicate in connection
with each such Bill its number in the House or Senate, as the
case may be, a brief reference to the subject thereof, and the
date of presentation to the Governor.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

(Senate Bill 76)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
6 (1), 6 (2) and 7 (21) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes",
sub-title "What Shall Be Taxed and Where", to provide for
the assessment and taxation of property owned or leased by
the United States, or any agency thereof, to the extent
legally permitted.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 6 (1), 6 (2) and 7 (21) of Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Reve-
nue and Taxes", sub-title "What Shall Be Taxed and Where",
be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
6. (1) All real properties in this State, by whomsoever
owned, including that owned or leased by the United States, or
any department or agency of the United States, to the fullest
extent possible under the Constitution of the United States
and laws of the United States pursuant thereto and in con-
formity therewith, in. the county and/or city in which the
same are situated.
