East 1065 feet; thence North 73 degrees 30 minutes West
3550 feet with or across the lands of Morris Truitt, E. W.
Sanford, Leonard Guthrie, Robert Perdue and T. A. Par-
sons to a point westerly of the aforesaid Pittsyille-Gumboro
State Road; thence South 625 feet parallel with said State
Road; thence West 1850 feet parallel with West Street to
Railroad Avenue Extended; thence South 1 degree West
800 feet to the center of said main track of said Baltimore
& Eastern Railroad Company; thence by and with the
center of said last mentioned track North 85 degrees 30
minutes West 1150 feet to the place of beginning.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the citizens of
Pittsville of the age of twenty-one years and upwards, who
shall possess the qualifications of legally registered voters
of the State of Maryland, and who shall have resided in
said Town for the space of six months next immediately
preceding any Town election and own real property therein,
shall on the first Monday of July, 1945, or as soon there-
after as may be convenient, and annually thereafter on the
first Monday of July, elect three Commissioners to serve
for one year, and until their successors shall be duly elect-
ed and qualified. Such Commissioners shall be qualified
voters and residents of the said Town, and they must con-
tinue to reside therein during the term of their office, and
they must be the owners of real estate within said Town.
The said Commissioners shall serve without pay.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That Thomas W.
Dunn, J. Allie Hamblin and Lester W. Brittingham, are
hereby appointed Judges of Election, to hold the first elec-
tion under this Act. The said Judges shall give notice that
the election will be held and the place and time thereof by
hand-bills posted in not less than five public places in said
Town at least ten days before the date thereof. The said
election shall be held on the the first Monday of July, 1945,
or as soon thereafter as may be convenient. At said election
all persons qualified, as prescribed in Section 3 of this sub-
title, shall be entitled to vote for three persons for Com-
missioners having the necessary qualifications as therein
prescribed. Such Judges of Election shall, before opening
the polls, make oath before some Notary Public in and for
Wicomico County to permit every qualified voter to vote,
and none other, and otherwise truly and faithfully to
perform the duties of their office. A majority of said
Judges shall have power to do all things committed unto
said Judges. Any vacancy in said Judges, caused by death
or otherwise, shall be filled by the remaining Judges.
