public or private sale, and to convey, or otherwise to
dispose of and convey any real estate or interest in real
estate now held or owned or hereafter acquired by said
County Commissioners and no longer needed for public
use; and (2) to buy at public or private sale or to accept
without consideration any real estate which in their judg-
ment shall be useful to Washington County; provided, how-
ever, that said County Commissioners shall not expend for
the acquisition of property for any one purpose an amount
in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000. ).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all sales or con-
veyances of real estate heretofore made by the County
Commissioners of Washington County and all purchases or
conveyances of real estate to said County Commissioners
heretofore made are hereby ratified and approved.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 522.
(Senate Bill 268)
AN ACT to include a certain proposed road in the Tenth
Election District of Worcester County in the Stephen
Decatur Memorial Road, and to authorize and direct the
State Roads Commission to take over and construct
said road.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the proposed road as surveyed by the State Roads
Commission of Maryland, Contract Number Wo 252-1-50,
Plat Number 5856, to be located in the Tenth Election Dis-
trict of Worcester County, running from the present north-
erly end of the Stephen Decatur Memorial Road and the old
Ocean City-Berlin Road, in a northerly direction for ap-
proximately five hundred yards to the dual Berlin-Ocean
City Highway, linking said old Berlin-Ocean City Road
and said new Ocean City-Berlin Highway, is hereby made
a part of the "Stephen Decatur Memorial Road" and the
State Roads Commission is hereby authorized and directed
to take over and construct said proposed road as a part of
the State Highway System.
