the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 199)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, paragraphs
B and D of Section 6 of Article 2B of the 1943 Supplement
to the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-title "Beer, Wine and Liquor License", relating
to the fees and general requirements for Class B "On Sale",
Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses, and Class D "On Sale",
Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses, and increasing the fees for
such licenses in Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That paragraphs B and D of Section 6 of Article 2B of
the 1943 Supplement to the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Beer, Wine and Liquor
License", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

B. (Beer, Wine and Liquor License, Class B (On Sale) —
Hotels and Restaurants. ) Such a license shall be issued by
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County in which the
place of business is located, or by the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas for Baltimore City, if the place of business is
located in said City, and shall authorize the holder thereof to
keep for sale and sell all alcoholic beverages at retail at any
hotel or restaurant at the place therein described, for con-
sumption on the premises or elsewhere. The annual fee for
such a license shall be Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($750. 00) except in Washington County where said fee shall
be Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), except in the towns of
North Beach and Chesapeake Beach where such annual fee for
such license shall be Four Hundred Dollars ($400. 00), and
shall be payable to said Clerk, before any such license is
issued, for distribution as hereinafter provided.

Such a license shall be issued in Baltimore City, Baltimore,
Prince George's and Washington Counties, the towns of North
Beach and Chesapeake Beach, and in the City of Annapolis
such a license may be issued upon the approval of and for such
a fee as may be fixed by the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen
of the City of Annapolis.
