and Town Council may appoint. The proceedings for the
registration of voters, except as herein otherwise provided,
shall conform as nearly as may be possible to the proceedings
for the registration of voters under the general election laws
of this State. Transfers may be granted by the registration
officers from, one ward to another in said town upon removal
to the residence of the voter. Voters shall have the same right
as they now have under the general election laws of this State
and any person who feels aggrieved by the action of the Board
of Registration either by refusing to register an applicant or
in refusing to erase from the register the name of any such
suspected person, shall have the same right of appeal to the
Circuit Court for Prince George's County, as now exists
under the said general laws and the procedure in such cases
shall be the same and the Circuit Court for said County is
hereby vested with jurisdiction and authority to hear and
determine all such appeals. Not less than seven days' notice
of the time and place and hours of registration shall be given
by the Mayor and Town Council in advance of the first day
fixed for such registration. When not in actual use for regis-
tration or election purposes the books of registration shall be
deposited in the custody of the Treasurer of said town, and
shall be open to public inspection free of charge, subject, how-
ever, to such regulations as the Mayor and Town Council may
prescribe.

The Town Clerk and the members of the Mayor and Town
Council and any person designated by the Mayor and Town
Council for the purpose of registering voters, are hereby em-
powered to administer an oath to all applicants for registra-
tion, and any person who swears falsely touching his quali-
fications as a voter or registrant, or his identity shall be guilty
of the crime of perjury and shall be subject to the penalties
prescribed by the Public General Laws of Maryland.

Section 11. All nominations of candidates for Mayor, Coun-
cilman and Treasurer shall be made in a general convention
held on the fourth Wednesday in April of each odd numbered
year, beginning with the fourth Wednesday in April, 1945.
The convention to nominate candidates for the office of Mayor
and Treasurer shall be a general convention of the registered
voters of the Town and the conventions to nominate candi-
dates for the offices of Councilmen shall be general con-
ventions of the registered voters of the respective wards.

The conventions aforesaid shall meet at such time and place
on the day aforesaid as the Mayor and Town Council of Land-
over Hills shall designate, and seven days' public notice there-
of shall be given by posting notices thereof in at least five
conspicuous places in said town.
