WHEREAS, it has been found unnecessary to follow the pro-
visions of this section for many years; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 3 of Article 69 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Officers", be and the same is
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 58.
(Senate Bill 16)

AN ACT to repeal Section 56 of Article 17 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts",
sub-title "Clerk of the Court of Appeals", relating to the
residence of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals.

WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Court of Appeals is now appointed
by the Judges of the Court of Appeals, thereby rendering this
section unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 56 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title
"Clerk of the Court of Appeals", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall, take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 59.
(Senate Bill 17)

AN ACT to repeal Section 53 of Article 17 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts",
sub-title "General Duties of Clerks", said section providing
for the filing of certain papers in the case of death or resig-
nation of notaries public.
