CHAPTER 445.
(Senate Bill 518)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
215 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title "In-
ventory and List of Debts, " relating to the compensation
of appraisers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That! Section 215 of Article 92 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testamentary Law, " sub-
title "Inventory and List of Debts, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

215. Said appraisers shall receive such compensation
for the time they are actually engaged in said appraise-
ment as the Judges of the Orphans' Court shall
prescribe, not to exceed five dollars per diem,
said compensation to be paid out of the estate of the
decedent after said appraisers have filed an itemized sworn
account of the number of days they were actually engaged
in said appraisement with the Orphans' Court or Register
of Wills, as the case may be, and after said sworn state-
ment is approved by said court or register of wills, as the
case may be; provided, however, that nothing contained
in this section shall apply to the Orphans' Court or Regis-
ter of Wills of the City of Baltimore or Montgomery
County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

Public Local Laws of Maryland & Baltimore City
Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City, " sub-title
"Salaries of Clerks of Courts, " relating to the compen-
sation of the Clerks of Courts of Baltimore City.
