and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis are hereby further
authorized and empowered to enforce the provisions of this
section and of any ordinances enacted in pursuance thereof,
by such penalty or penalties as they may deem proper to
inflict. All Acts or parts of Act inconsistent with this section
are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 379.
(House Bill 504)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 77
of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-title "Black Bass",
limiting the number of black bass which may be taken by
one person in any one day.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 77 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-title
"Black Bass", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
77. During the open season, it shall be unlawful for any
person to catch, take or kill in any manner, or have in posses-
sion any black bass less than ten (10) inches in length. It
shall be unlawful, during the open season, for any person to
catch by means of rod, hook and line, more than ten (10)
black bass in any one day.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
