taxes heretofore levied but all preceding levies for taxes shall
be collected as if this Act has never been passed.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act. are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency..

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed upon by yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 354.
(House Bill 398)

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "North Beach Park", said new
sections to be known as Sections) 394, 395, and 396, and to
follow immediately after Section 393 of said Article, em-
powering the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel Coun-
ty to appoint a Special Police Officer for North Beach Park,
prescribing the method of selecting said Officer, his powers
and duties, salary, and removal; and empowering the said
County Commissioners to establish a special tax district of
North Beach Park and to levy a special tax to pay the salary
and expenses of such Special Police Officer and all costs to
the County of levying and collecting said special tax and of
administering this Act; and providing a method of terminat-
ing this special service and special tax.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections are hereby added to Article 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "North Beach Park",
said new sections to be known as Sections 394, 395, and 396, to
follow immediately after Section 393 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

394. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
are hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to
