sonal property", said new section to be known as Section
241A and to follow immediately after Section 241 of said
Article, making it unlawful for lessee of personal property,
with intent to defraud, to remove same beyond the limits; of
the City or County where located when so leased, or to
remove, secrete, hypothecate, sell or destroy same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is! hereby added to Article
27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", to be under sub-title "Fraud by
Lessee of Personal Property", said new section to be known
as Section 241A and to follow immediately after Section 241
of said Article, and to read as follows:
FRAUD BY LESSEE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY.
241A. Any lessee of personal property in possession of the
same, under a written lease, who with intent to defraud the
lessor, shall remove any personal property so leased, beyond
the limits of the City or County where it is located when so
leased, without the permission of the lessor first had and
obtained in writing, or any lessee who, with intent as afore-
said, removes, secretes, hypothecates, destroys or sells the
same shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on indict-
ment therefor and conviction thereof, shall be imprisoned not
more than six months, or shall be fined not more than Five
Hundred Dollars, or both, in the discretion of the Court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 238
of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Operation of
Vehicles Upon Highways", making it unlawful to use
emblem or insignia of fire company unless authorized to
do so.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 238 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code
