CHAPTER 38.
(House Bill 87)

AN ACT to repeal Section 283 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Funerals—Collection of Tolls From", said
section providing that no turnpike, bridge or ferry company
shall charge tolls for funerals.

WHEREAS, this section seems to be no longer applicable;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 283 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Funerals—Collection of Tolls From", be and it is
hereby-repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 39.

(House Bill 92)

AN ACT to repeal Section 75 of Article 56' of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-
title "Motor Vehicle Titling Tax".

WHEREAS, Section 25A of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement) contains similar provisions
and has as a matter of fact superseded the provisions of Sec-
tion 75; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 75 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Motor
Vehicle Titling Tax", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
