CHAPTER 312.

(Senate Bill 279)

AN ACT to repeal Section 160 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " and Sec-
tion 455 of said Article, sub-title "Supervisor of Assess-
ments, " said section relating to the appointment and
compensation of a Clerk to the Supervisor of Assess-
ments of Cecil County.

WHEREAS, the law providing for permanent assessments
makes the provisions of these sections unnecessary; there-
fore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 160 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer, " and Section 455 of said
Article, sub-title "Supervisors of Assessments, " be and
they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June'1, 1945.

CHAPTER 313.
(Senate Bill 315)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
362 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Real Es-
tate Brokers, " eliminating the exemption of certain
counties from the provisions of said section.

SECTION-1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 362 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Licenses, " sub-title
"Real Estate Brokers, " be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

362. (Penalties. ) Any person, acting for himself or
herself or for or on behalf of any co-partnership, associa-
tion or corporation, not specifically excepted from this
