tions; and whether such a plan would be financially advan-
tageous to the State.
Not later than March 31, 1945, the Committee shall report
to the General Assembly, its findings and recommendations.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed upon by yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(b) of Section 432 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-title
"Cooperative Associations", providing for the appointment
of a resident agent in conformity with Section 10 of said
Article.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (b) of Section 432 of Article 23 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corpora-
tions", sub-title "Cooperative Associations", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
432. (b) Said persons shall sign and acknowledge written
articles which shall contain the name of said association and
the name and residences of the persons forming the same.
Such articles shall contain also a statement of the purposes of
the association and shall designate the city, town or village
where its principal office shall be located and shall designate
a person who shall be the resident agent of the association, as
required by Section 10 of this Article.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
