CHAPTER 247.

(Senate Bill 411)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 248-256, inclusive, of Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Kent County, " sub-title "Liquors and
Intoxicating Drinks, " said sections making it unlawful
to sell intoxicating liquors in Kent County.

WHEREAS, the provisions of these sections have been
superseded by Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land, relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages, therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 248-256, inclusive, of Article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Kent County, " sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks, "
be -and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

Approved March 16, 1945.

CHAPTER 248.
(Senate Bill 30)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 41 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Governor—Executive
and Administrative Departments, " sub-title "Hall of Records
Commission", said new section to be known as Section 126A
and to follow immediately after Section 126 of said Article,
directing the transfer to the Hall of Records Commission
of all papers, records and documents in the Court Houses
of the State, which were made prior to April 28th, 1788, the
date of the adoption of the Constitution of the United States
by the State of Maryland.

WHEREAS, many of the papers, records and documents, now
in the Court Houses of the State, are in need of repair and in
many instances are not sufficiently safeguarded against fire
and deterioration; and

WHEREAS, the Hall of Records is equipped for the proper
filing, storage and indexing of these old papers, records and
documents; and
