($180. 00) from funds hereinafter appropriated and designated
for that purpose. Said additional compensation of One Hun-
dred and Eighty Dollars ($180. 00) shall be pro-rated and paid
in equal installments to the said salaried State employee at the
customary pay periods of the department in which the said
salaried State employee is employed, during the fiscal years
ending June 30th, 1946 and June 30th, 1947, or either of them;
provided, however, that such payments shall be paid only to
those State employees who are actually employed in such
capacities at the times when such payments are due, and pro-
vided further, that if any employee's regular annual salary,
plus the One Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($180. 00) herein
provided for would amount to more than Three Thousand Dol-
lars ($3, 000), then he shall receive only that portion of One
Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($180. 00) which, when added to
his regular annual salary gives him a total annual compensa-
tion of Three Thousand Dollars ($3, 000).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any salaried State
employee has received during the fiscal year ending June 30th,
1945, or the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1946, or either of
them, any increase in compensation by reason of the operation
of the Standard Salary increment, elevation of Standard Sal-
ary Scale, or reclassification to a higher grade, such increase in
compensation shall be considered as a credit against the pay-
ment of any additional compensation provided in this Act and
the amount of increase in compensation received during the
fiscal year ending June 30th, 1945, shall be deducted during
the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1946 from the amount of One
Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($180. 00) which said salaried
State employee would have been entitled to receive during the
fiscal year ending June 30th, 1946, had not such employee re-
ceived an increase in compensation during the fiscal year end-
ing June 30th, 1945; and the amount of increase in compensa-
tion received during the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1946,
shall be deducted during the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1947
from the amount of One Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($180. 00)
which said salaried State employee would have been entitled
to receive during the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1947, had
not such employee received an increase in compensation during
the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1946.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That regular employees
of the State Roads Commission who are paid on a daily or
hourly basis and who have been regularly employed by the
State Roads Commission for the one year immediately preced-
ing July 1st, 1945, and expressly including State Roads Com-
mission employees engaged in work on the maintenance of
county roads under the supervision of the said Commission,
