work in Garrett County, according to rules to be adopted by
the Board. For the duties imposed by this section, the County
Commissioners shall each receive a salary of Three Hundred
Dollars ($300. 00) per year, in addition to such salary as is
now provided for them by law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 1032.
(House Bill 572)
AN ACT to repeal Sub-section (h) of Section 9 of Article 89B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement),
title "State Roads", relating to the letting of certain con-
tracts by the Board of County Commissioners of Garrett
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (h) of Section 9 of Article 89B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "State
Roads", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed upon by yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
