the said water analyzed to insure clean, healthy drinking water
at the said schools. The said supervisor shall cause to be made a
survey of all school property in Montgomery County, and enter
the location, character, size and condition of said school prop-
erty in a book to be kept for that purpose, and he shall per-
sonally inspect and record and report the condition of the
same to the county board of education and the county commis-
sioners with his recommendations as to the need for such
property or the disposition of the same, and in all matters and
things in relation thereto it shall be the duty of the said super-
visor to provide and maintain any and all school property of
said county so that it may be preserved and utilized, for the
purposes intended and not be permitted to deteriorate or de-
cay for lack of attention and for this purpose the said super-
visor shall be required to frequently inspect and recommend
and cause to be made the repairs required. The said super-
visor of school property shall select, appoint, supervise and re-
move all janitors of school buildings in Montgomery County,
and shall prescribe their duties in relation thereto, and when-
ever any law requires, or the board of education of Mont-
gomery County authorizes the insuring of any of the school
property or of any activities of the board of education against
any hazard or risk including liability or collision insurance or
the bonding of any employee of the county school system of
Montgomery County, it shall be the duty of the said supervisor
to procure such insurance or bond and any renewal or renewals
thereof: The said supervisor of school property shall from
time to time advise the county board of education and the
county commissioners of Montgomery County of all the mat-
ters and things herein contained, and shall aid, advise and sug-
gest the various needs required for the construction and main-
tenance of all school properties, including the equipment there-
of, and he shall keep accurate, itemized records of the expense
of the construction, maintenance of the same and annually
report to the county board of education and the county com-
missioners and explain whatever items in the budget as may, be
required of him so that the county board of education and the
county commissioners may be fully advised of the nature of
each item of the budget as submitted by the board of education.
Said supervisor of school property shall have such jurisdiction
over all things herein mentioned that the board of education
or the treasurer thereof shall not approve or pay any bill for
anything in relation thereto unless said account, bill or state-
ment shall have endorsed thereon the approval for payment
of said supervisor of school property. Any employee appointed
by the Supervisor of School property may be removed for cause
by the County Board of Education after public hearing before
the County Board of Education held with reasonable notice to
