Company, certified by the Secretary under the seal of the
Company, stating any facts in this Section required to be
established as a condition of such release or releases,
accompanied by a sworn certificate to the like effect of the
President or a Vice-president of the Northern Central
Railway Company, or of The Pennsylvania Railroad Com-
pany, its lessee.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1945.

(Senate Bill 540)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 19A of the Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Conservation of Natural Resources, "
sub-title "Board of Natural Resources, " said new section
to be known as Section 4A and to follow immediately
after Section 4 of said Article, authorizing the Board of
Public Works, on the recommendation of the Board of
Natural Resources to acquire by gift or purchase real
property adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay and its tribu-
taries to be used as a demonstration area or areas for
the social and economic betterment of the people of
Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
19A of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Conservation of
Natural Resources, " sub-title "Board of Natural Re-
sources, " said new section to be known as Section 4A, to
follow immediately after Section 4 of said Article and to
read as follows:

4A. The Board of Natural Resources is hereby author-
ized to conduct investigations and inquiries for the pur-
pose of securing a suitable site or sites for a recreation
and demonstration area or areas adjacent to the Chesa-
peake Bay and its tributaries and to make written recom-
mendations to the Board of Public Works concerning its
findings. The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized
to make a study of the recommendations submitted by the
Board of Natural Resources and to determine therefrom
the location of a site or sites to be used as a recreation and
