CHAPTER 974.
(Senate Bill 497)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
269 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, "
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " as said section was
amended by Chapter 350 of the Acts of 1933, relating
to the compensation of the Treasurer of Worcester
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 269 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester
County, " sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " as said section
was amended by Chapter 350 of the Acts of 1933, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

269. The Treasurer hereafter elected shall receive as
compensation for his services as Treasurer and as Clerk
of the County Commissioners an annual salary of eighteen
hundred dollars payable by Worcester County monthly,
and traveling expenses not to exceed the sum of four hun-
dred eighty dollars annually.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the "General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

of the Peace and Constables', Sections 722 and 737 hav-
ing been amended by Chapter 601 of the Acts of 1941,
