Council, " said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (2A) and to follow immediately after Sub-section
(2) of said section, temporarily increasing the member-
ship of the Legislative Council.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
26 of Article 40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "General Assembly", sub-title "Legisla-
tive Council", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (2A) and to follow immediately after Sub-section
(2) of said section and to read as follows:

26. (2A) For the period June 1, 1945, to January 1,
1947, there shall be six additional members of the Council,
to be appointed as follows:

(a) Three members to be appointed by the President of
the Senate, one of whom shall be a member of the minority
party.

(b) Three to be appointed by the Speaker of the House
of Delegates, one of whom shall be a member of the minor-
ity party.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 25 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "County
Commissioners, " to be under sub-title "County Treas-
urers, " said new section to be known as Section 38A
and to follow immediately after Section 38 of said
Article, relating to the salaries of the County Treasurers
of the several Counties.

of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"County Commissioners, " to be under sub-title "County
Treasurers, " said new section to be known as Section 38A,
