sand dollars provided that where the amount of the bond is
less than two hundred dollars a minimum premium or com-
pensation of ten dollars may be charged. Where such bond
exceeds the sum of one thousand dollars the premium or com-
pensation shall not exceed five per cent, of the first one thou-
sand dollars, four per cent, of the second one thousand dollars
and three per cent, of the excess over the second one thousand
dollars.

141-1. The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Montgomery
County shall have power at any time to take bail when author-
ized by said Court, whether the Court is in session or not, but
in all cases, before bail is taken by the Clerk, the Court shall
fix the amount thereof. The Clerks to the Trial Magistrates
and the Justices of the Peace for Montgomery County shall
have power at any time to take bail when authorized by
the Trial Magistrate, whether the Trial Magistrate is sitting
or not but in all cases before bail is taken by the Clerk, the
Trial Magistrate shall fix the amount thereof.

141 J. Nothing in this sub-title shall affect the right of any
person to be his own recognizor upon the posting of proper
security.

141K. Any person violating any provision of this sub-title
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be
punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than
one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment of not less than ten
or more than sixty days, or both; and if the person so con-
victed be a police officer or other public official, he shall upon
recommendation of the trial judge also be forthwith dismissed
from office; if a bondsman, or the agent, clerk or representative
of a bondsman, he shall be disqualified from thereafter engag-
ing in any manner in the bonding business for such a period of
time as the trial judge shall order; and, if an attorney at law,
shall be subject to suspension or disbarment as attorney at law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
