be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall
be punished by a fine of not more than $250. 00 for each offense.
In addition, the County Commissioners of Montgomery County,
upon proof of any violation of any ordinance promulgated un-
der Section 1130B, shall have authority to revoke or suspend
any license issued under authority of Section 1130B, after ac-
cording reasonable opportunity to the licensee to be heard, in
his, her or its defense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision,
clause, sentence, phrase, or part of this Act, or the application
thereof to any person, firm or corporation or circumstance, is
held invalid, the remainder of this Act and the application of
such provisions to other persons, firms and corporations and
circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1. 1945.

CHAPTER 942.
(House Bill 824)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
III of the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District Act
as enacted by Chapter 1008 of the Laws of Maryland of 1943,
the purpose of the amendments being to authorize the Mary-
land-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to
publish annual statements of its receipts and disbursements
upon certification of the same by a certified public account-
ant employed by the Commission.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section III of the Maryland-Washington Metro-
politan District Act as enacted by Chapter 1008 of the Laws
of Maryland of 1943, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:

III. The Commission is hereby authorized to maintain an
office in Montgomery County, and an office in Prince George's
County, both such offices to be within the District, and an
office in the District of Columbia. The Commission is hereby
authorized to hold meetings, conduct hearings, and perform
any or all of the duties vested in it by this Act at whichever
of its three said offices shall in the judgment of the Commis-
