Beginning at a point on the eastern line of the Washington-
Baltimore Boulevard at a point where said eastern line inter-
sects the northern line of the lots in Block 1 of the Riverdale
Park subdivision (Liber J. W. B. No. 5, folio 688), thence east
along the northern line of said lots in Block 1 of the Riverdale
Park subdivision across the right of way of the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad Company to the eastern boundary of said
right of way, then turning in a northeasterly direction along
the eastern line of the right of way of the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company to a point where said right of way inter-
sects the northern boundary of the property conveyed by
Richard C. M. Calvert, George H. Calvert, Jr., and C. Balti-
more Calvert, trustees of the estate of Charles B. Calvert, de-
ceased, pursuant to a decree of the Circuit Court of Prince
George's County, Maryland, in Equity 8603, to the United
States of America by deed dated May 20, 1942 (Liber 652,
folio 446), then turning west along said line to the eastern
boundary of the Washington-Baltimore Boulevard, thence
turning southwest and following the eastern boundary of said
boulevard to the point of beginning.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all existing laws
relating to the Town of Riverdale, and all existing ordinances
passed by the Mayor and Common Council of Riverdale are
hereby extended to hereafter cover and apply to said annexed
territory as fully as if said annexed territory had been a part
of said Town of Riverdale at the time of passage of such laws
and ordinances. Provided, however, that with respect to prop-
erty within the annexed area exempt from municipal taxation
by reason of its ownership by the Government of the United
States of America or any of its agencies having a tax-exempt
status, the Mayor and Common Council of Riverdale shall be
responsible for such municipal services as may be agreed upon
between the Government of the United States or its agencies
and the Town of Riverdale. The Mayor and Common Council
of Riverdale are hereby authorized to make contracts with the
Government of the United States or its agencies fixing the
compensation to be paid the Town of Riverdale for such mu-
nicipal services with respect to property in the annexed area
while such property shall be exempt from municipal taxes.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the First Ward
of the Town of Riverdale is hereby extended to include all of the
territory annexed by this Act.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
