fore it approves or constructs such project, such contribution
to be paid in cash before construction begins or secured to the
satisfaction of the Commission; and said Commission may con-
struct any part of an approved drainage project, provided the
person or company interested contributes not less than one-
half of the cost thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 918.
(House Bill 755)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(I) of Section 339 of the Code of Prince George's County
(1943 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County", sub-
title "Cottage City", relating to the salary of Treasurer of
Cottage City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (I) of Section 339 of the Code of Prince
George's County (1943 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Cottage City", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

339 (I). Said Commission shall by resolution appoint a
town treasurer to be known as the Cottage City Treasurer,
who shall also act as clerk to said Commission. The salary
of said treasurer shall not exceed Three Hundred Dollars per
annum from January 1, 1935 to December 31, 1955, and there-
after shall not exceed one hundred and fifty dollars per annum.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
