typewritten or printed copies of such petition be filed with said
Commission at the time that the original petition is so pre-
sented or filed. And the election for the adoption or rejection
of any such ordinance shall be conducted in the manner pro-
vided by Section 10 of this Act, and any such ordinance shall
go into force in the manner as provided for in Paragraph A
of this section.

(C) That in order to insure the observance of such ordi-
nances, in addition to the action of debt or other civil remedies
as may exist by law in such cases for the recovery of penal-
ties or forfeiture for violations of such ordinances, such ordi-
nances may provide for the payment of reasonable fines, not
exceeding fifty dollars ($50. 00) for such violation, and may
provide that in default of payment of any such fine the delin-
quent shall be committed to the county jail of Prince George's
County for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days, or until
such fine is paid. And it shall be the duty of the Sheriff of
said County to receive any person so committed and detain
the same until such sentence shall have been served or until
such fine shall have been paid.

(D) Any Justices of the Peace that may reside in said town
or elsewhere in Prince George's County shall have the power
to hear, try and determine all criminal cases where the Town of
Morningside is a party as they may have in cases where the
State of Maryland is a party, All such proceedings instituted
by or on behalf of said town shall be instituted in the name
of the Town of Morningside; all pleadings or other papers
filed in such proceedings by or on behalf of said town shall be
signed by the Secretary Commissioner; and such proceedings
shall be conducted in the same manner as proceedings are by
law conducted before a Justice of the Peace.

(E) That all fines, penalties and forfeitures imposed by any
ordinances may be collected in the name of the Town of Morn-
ingside before any Justice of the Peace as aforesaid in the
same manner as small debts are collected in proceedings before
Justices of the Peace, and the delinquent shall be committed
to the County Jail in default of payment until the same is
paid. Provided, however, that no person shall be imprisoned
for more than thirty (30) days for any one violation of any
such ordinance, or failure to pay any one penalty, or any one
forfeiture. All money recovered by way of fines, penalties or
forfeitures shall be the money of the Town of Morningside and
be kept and disbursed as other town funds.

(F) That the Morningside Commission may appoint, by
resolution, one or more Bailiffs, who shall be allowed the same
