obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force
and effect, and shall execute a bond to Cecil County in the
penalty of thirty thousand dollars, conditioned for the proper
collection and disbursement of all moneys coming into their
hands for the county and the faithful performance of other
duties devolving upon them; said bonds to be approved, as
the bonds of the Sheriff of the respective counties of this
State are approved, and recorded in the office of the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Cecil County and after recording, the
bonds to the State shall be filed with the State Comptroller;
and the said Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, before they
shall enter upon the duties of their said offices shall take
and subscribe before said clerk the oath prescribed by Sec-
tion 6 of Article 1 of the Constitution of the State.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

(House Bill 91)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(b) of Section 60 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
sub-title "County Treasurer", as said section was amended
by Chapter 284 of the Acts of 1943, relating to the bonds to
be given by the County Treasurer of St. Mary's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (b) of Section 60 of Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"St. Mary's County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said
section was amended by Chapter 284 of the Acts of 1943, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
60. (b) The County Commissioners of said County shall
provide the said Treasurer with proper stationery, books,
blanks, and other necessary appointments for an office, which
office they shall always provide and furnish in the Town of
Leonardtown; the County Commissioners are hereby author-
ized to fix the salary of the County Treasurer at not less than
Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200. 00) nor more than Eighteen
Hundred Dollars ($1, 800. 00) per year, to be paid monthly by
