CONTINGENT APPROPRIATIONS—GENERAL FUNDS

1946 1947

The following appropriations are hereby made from
the General Funds, contingent upon the passage
of the specified legislation relating thereto:

1. To Public Schools, in addition to appropriation
shown on Pages 94 and 95 of the Printed Bill,
to provide the necessary money to give effect to
legislation to be passed at the 1945 Session of
the General Assembly providing for the new
State minimum salary schedule for teachers;
reduction of the size of classes in the elementary
schools; extension of the school system to twelve
(12) years, and the equalizing of the salaries of
white and colored supervisors................. $2,314,131.00 $2,314,131.00

2. To Public Schools, in addition to appropriation
shown on Pages 94 and 95 of the Printed Bill,
contingent upon passage of Senate Bill No. 543,
providing for the creation of a Division of Li-
brary Extension in the State Department of Edu-
cation; for payments to counties and Baltimore
City................................................... 20,000.00

3. To State Insurance Department—Rating Bureau,
in addition to appropriation shown on Pages 34
and 35 of the Printed Bill, contingent upon pass-
age of House Bill No. 794 and House Bill No. 795
providing for the establishment of a Rating
Bureau in the department, as follows:
