(House Bill 833)

AN ACT to repeal Section 126 of Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Balti-
more County", sub-title "County Commissioners"; to repeal
Section 135A of said Article as the same was enacted by
Chapter 122 of the Acts of 1933; to repeal Section 135B of
said Article as the same was enacted by Chapter 176 of the
Acts of 1935; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 135C of said Article as the same was enacted by
Chapter 119 of the Acts of 1937, providing for a consolida-
tion and clarification of certain provisions of law as to the
borrowing of money by the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County, but retaining the same limitation of amount
on said borrowing.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 126 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", Section 135A of said Article
as the same was enacted by Chapter 122 of the Acts of 1933,
and Section 135B of said Article as the same was enacted by
Chapter 176 of the Acts of 1935, be and the same are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 135C of
Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Baltimore County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", as the same was enacted by Chapter 119 of the Acts
of 1937, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

135C. At any time and from time to time hereafter, when-
ever the amount of taxes collected or of funds available from
taxes collected shall be insufficient to meet the current ex
penses or current obligations, of any and every character, of
Baltimore County, or at any time and from time to time here-
after, whenever in the opinion of the Board of County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County, it shall be necessary for the
protection of the health, morals or safety of the people of the
County, the said Board of County Commissioners of Balti-
more County shall be and they are hereby authorized to bor-
row upon the faith and credit of said County, in addition to
the sum or sums authorized in Section 135 hereof, such other
and extra sum or sums of money as in their discretion may
be necessary to pay such expenses or obligations or to pro-
vide for such protection of health, morals or safety; pro-
