water-tight, leak-proof bodies, in metal containers with tight-
fitting covers. The County Health Officer shall have the power
and authority to license the vehicles that are used for the pur-
pose of hauling the said garbage, and each operator shall pay
an annual license fee of Twenty-five ($25. 00) Dollars for each
vehicle used, the revenues from such licenses to be retained by
the County Health Officer to defray the cost of inspection serv-
ice for the enforcement of this section; provided, however, that
this section shall not apply to vehicles operated by any incor-
porated town of Charles County, Maryland.

(4) Any person violating the provisions of this section shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than five dollars
($5. 00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50. 00).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 849.
(House Bill 806)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Balti-
more County", sub-title "Health and Sanitation", said new
section to be known as Section 366A, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 366 of said Article, making it unlaw-
ful to pollute or discolor certain waters in Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 3
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Baltimore County", sub-title "Health and Sanitation",
said new section to be known as Section 366A, and to follow
immediately after Section 366 of said Article, and to read as
follows:

366A. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora-
tion to discharge or empty or to permit the discharging or
emptying of any waste product, dyestuff, or other material or
substance of whatever kind and in whatever form, into or near
any stream or river in Baltimore County, the waters in which
run into any reservoir located at Loch Raven in said county,
where the discharging or emptying of said waste product, dye-
stuff, or other material or substance as aforesaid discolors or
pollute or tends to or would tend to discolor or pollute any of
said waters. Any person, firm or corporation violating the
