after Section 9A of said Article, authorizing the County
Commissioners to cooperate with Soil Conservation Districts
and to levy and make appropriations therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners sub-title "General Provisions, "
said new section to be known as Section 9B, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 9A of said Article, and to read as follows:
9B. They may levy and appropriate such sums of money as
they may, in their discretion, think proper for the purpose of
cooperating with and assisting the work of the Soil Conserva-
tion Districts organized in their respective counties under
Article 2A of the Annotated Code of Maryland. They may
make such agreements for the use of any money appropriated
for any Soil Conservation District as they may deem advisable
or necessary.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 247
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Gasoline Tax. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 247 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Gasoline
Tax, " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:
247. Every dealer shall file with the Comptroller a bond
in the approximate sum of three times the average monthly
motor fuel tax due by such dealer during the next preced-
ing twelve calendar months under the existing law of
this State; provided that in no case shall bond be less than
One Thousand ($1, 000. 00) Dollars, nor more than Twenty
