SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision
of this Act, or the application of any such provision, to
any person or circumstance shall be adjudged or held by
any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the re-
mainder of the Act, and the application of the Act to
persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is
held invalid, shall not be affected, impaired or invalidated.
SEC. 2A. And be it further enacted, That Sections 95
and 97 of Article 65 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Militia, " sub-title "Re-employ-
ment of Persons in Military Service, " be and they are here-
by repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws, both Public General and Public Local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act be, and the same are here-
by repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
238 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title
"Orphans' Court, " relating to the compensation of the
Judges of the Orphans' Courts of the several counties
and Baltimore City and to repeal Section 239 of said
Article.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 238 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law, "
sub-title "Orphans' Court, " be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
