140. An act to make valid the proceedings of the Circuit
Court for Washington county, sitting in equity, in a case in
which certain real estate belonging to the estate of J. H.
Kennedy, deceased, was sold by order of said court.
141. An act to authorise the county commissioners for
Frederick county to subscribe for shares of stock in the Fred-
erick and Emmittsburg Turnpike Road Company.
142. An act to repeal so much of the act entitled, an act
to incorporate the Howard Street Savings Bank, passed De-
cember session, 1847, as declares that one-third of the direc-
tors after the first election shall not be eligible at the next
ensuing election, and so on alternately in each and every year
until their places are supplied by other members.
143. An act to authorize the opening of a public road in
Howard and Montgomery counties.
144. An act to incorporate a company to construct a turn-
pike road from the city of Cumberland, by the nearest and
most practicable line, to Bedford, Pennsylvania.
145. An act to authorise and empower William Briscoe,
James C. Millburn, Henry Jones, J. L. Briscoe and Uriah
Tippett and their successors, to receive by conveyance a tract
of land to be used for a parsonage, and to hold the same in
trust for the Methodist Episcopal church of St. Mary's county.
146. An act authorising the county commissioners of Prince
George's county to subscribe for a correct map of said county.
147. An act to incorporate the Westernport Academy of
Allegany county.
148. An act to sell and convey a house and lot in primary
school district No. 37, in Frederick county.
149. An act granting the leave of the Legislature to the
bequest made by Hanson Penn, late of Prince George's county,
deceased, to Benjamin O. Loundes, in trust, as declared in
his last will and testament.
150. An act to amend the 35th section of the 22d article of
the Code of Public Local Laws by increasing the pay of the
county commissioners of Worcester county.
151. An act to confirm the charter of St. Anthony's Or-
phan Asylum, in Baltimore city, incorporated on the 10th
day of April, 1858, under the General Laws of Maryland,
and to enlarge the powers of said corporation.
152. An act to authorise the opening of a public road in
Howard and Montgomery counties.
