VACANT

OR ESCHEAT LANDS— Any person

desiring to take up, shall obtain a

warrant from the commissioner of the

land office, &c.,

Any person may obtain a common war-

rant, a special warrant, or proclama-

tion warrant, &c., by applying to

the commissioner of the land office

and paying the usual fees and char-

ges,

If the, lies in Allegany county, twenty

cents per acre; if in Washington

county, twenty-five cents per acre,

and if elsewhere in the State, fifty

cents per acre shall be paid to the

commissioner of the land office be-

fore a patent shall issue,

Any person who has obtained a war-

rant to survey, shall, within one

year from the date thereof, unless

the same be renewed, pay for the

land included in the certificate of

survey at the rates above prescribed

and pay in addition for such improve-

ments as may be on such,

"

The person first applying for a war-

rant shall be entitled to the same

upon paying the usual fees and

charges,

"

Certificate of survey may be returned

to the land office within one year

from the date of the warrant, and it

shall be at all times the duty of the

commissioners to renew by request and

at the time designated, &c., at any

time previous to its expiration, and

such renewal shall be held to be an

original warrant, and shall convey

all the rights, &c., of the preceding
