the next levy for Montgomery county, for the bene-
fit of the said George P. Atwood, the sum of eighty-
eight dollars and sixty-five cents, being the amount
now due for the said interest.

AN ACT to compensate Charles W. Webster for
professional services rendered under appoint-
ment of the Governor, in the Court of Appeals,
in the case of Josiah Parish vs. the State of Mary-
land.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is here-
by authorised and directed, on the warrant of the
Comptroller, to pay to the order of Charles W. Web-
ster, the sum of two hundred dollars, for profes-
sional services rendered by him under appointment
of the Governor, in the Court of Appeals, in the case
of Josiah Parish vs. the State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal the seven hundred and sixth
section, of the fourth article of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, which gives to the Mayor of the
city of Baltimore and the Judge of the Criminal
Court of Baltimore, and the Judge of the Supe-
rior Court of Baltimore, the power to order out
the Militia.
