CHAPTER 357.

CHAP. 358,

AN ACT granting the leave of the Legislature, to
a devise made in the last will and testament of
Benjamin Bowen, late of Cecil county, deceased,
to the trustees of the Presbyterian church, at the
head of Christiana creek, Delaware.

10, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the leave of the Legislature,
is hereby given to carry into effect the devise of
three hundred dollars, made by Benjamin Bowen,
late of Cecil county, deceased, in his last will and
testament, in favor of the trustees of the Presby-
terian church, at the head of Christiana creek,
Delaware.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 358.

In force.

AN ACT to incorporate the trustees of the Metho-
dist Protestant Church, of New Market, and to
vest the property now held by the congregation or
church, in said trustees.

10, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Jesse Wright, Abner C. De-
vilbiss, John Harding, George P. Kindley and Eli
Davis, and their successors duly elected as herein-
after provided, be and they are hereby incorporated
as a body politic, under the name of the Methodist
Protestant Church, of New Market, with power to
sue and be sued, to make a common seal and to
change the same, to pass by-laws, to elect officers,
and to hold real estate not exceeding five thousand
dollars in value, and to provide for the manner and
time of the election of their successors, and the
qualification of electors.

Incorporated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the church
property in New Market, now held by, and for,
